Mining iron ore
In order to obtain as much iron as possible when mining iron ore, the magnetic, iron-bearing magnetite must be separated from the dewy rock as well as possible. In the process, the blasted material is crushed into a fine “rock flour”. Due to the production process, the fine flour still contains unwanted coarse particles, which have to be separated from the fine product.
This separation is done with a stream of air. This is the moment when the radial fans from Scheuch COMPONENTS come into play. The fine particles fly with the air current and the coarse particles remain behind. In order to separate the fine meal from the air flow, a filter is needed at this point of the process, which is produced by our sister company Scheuch GmbH.
In addition to the centrifugal fans and filters, various aggregates are also provided by Scheuch. The plan is to produce 22,000,000 tonnes of ore concentrate per year. This quantity corresponds to about 700 kg of material flowing through Scheuch Group products per second. Performance at the highest level!
