Butterfly valves with individual nominal widths
In addition to the usual standard sizes, Scheuch COMPONENTS also produces shut-off devices with nominal widths that are adapted specifically to the conditions and requirements in question. The largest butterfly valves developed and built by our experts feature a diameter of 6.50 metres. Furthermore, they can tailor much more than just the nominal width to individual customer requirements. Whether it’s for standard systems or customized solutions, you will benefit from our company’s many years of experience in building industrial valves/flaps/dampers.
Mechanical, pneumatic or electric valve control
In the case of smaller nominal widths, the valve blade is normally controlled with a manual lever. With larger nominal widths, the valve blades are controlled using pneumatic or electric drives. The option which is ultimately selected for your application depends both on the nominal width of the butterfly valve and on the type and composition of the medium to be conveyed.
Extremely reliable and maintenance-free
Scheuch COMPONENTS butterfly valves are extremely reliable and maintenance-free – two properties which enable smooth and undisturbed operation. This is achieved, among other things, by incorporating maintenance-free components. Our solid-lubricated plain bearings feature special properties such as a low coefficient of friction and excellent chemical resistance. Another essential feature is that our butterfly valves can be used in a wide range of temperatures.
Stable casings ensure durable use
All Scheuch COMPONENTS industrial valves/flaps/dampers are made from high-quality sheet steel which ensures a long service life. Round forms are equipped with fixed flanges, while square forms are supported by a stable frame. All valves/flaps/dampers comply with DIN standards EN 12220 or 24193/R1-R3 and can therefore be integrated directly into pipe and channel systems. What’s more, all the casings and valve/flap/damper blades are designed to withstand temperatures up to 300 °C.
Leak-proof butterfly valves
Scheuch COMPONENTS pendulum flaps and butterfly valves are highly leak-proof. When the butterfly valves are closed, they are tight on 99.5 % of the valve surface. This means that the flow of conveyed media can be largely blocked if necessary.
To achieve this high value, our team implements various sealing materials which, like the geometry of the shut-off devices, are a key distinctive feature in butterfly valves. The following sealing materials are used: Glass fibre and Metals
