FAQs
Frequently asked questions about customised turningIs there a minimum or maximum number of turned parts?
No. We machine both prototypes and series.
What are the maximum dimensions that can be machined with CNC lathes?
We offer CNC turning for tools up to Ø 1300 mm and a length of 6,000 mm. This way, even large parts and heavy components are possible in contract manufacturing.
What tolerances can be maintained with CHC turning?
Tolerances are based on the workpiece, material and machining process. Generally, we manufacture with high precision in the hundredth millimetre range – we would be happy to review your requirements in detail.
What materials can be machined with turning in contact manufacturing?
We machine steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium and selected non-ferrous metals. Special materials can also be tested upon request.
Do you also manufacture custom turned parts according to a drawing or 3D model?
Yes, we manufacture turned parts exactly according to the customer’s requirements. Whether technical drawing, 3D model (e.g. STEP file) or rough sketch: We check your requirements and implement them precisely.
For what industries do you manufacture turned parts?
Our customers come from, among others, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, energy technology and industry. Generally, we manufacture for any sector – the decisive factor is the requirements of the workpiece, not the industrial sector.
What does the contract manufacturing of turned parts cost?
The price depends on the material, complexity, scope of machines and quantity. We will be happy to provide you with a customised quotation upon request.
Which file formats are useful for requesting a quote?
Ideally, technical drawings are in the file formats PDF, STEP, DWG or DXF. Alternatively, photos with dimensions can also be submitted.
How quickly can you manufacture?
Our lead times depend on the current capacity. Express production on a contract basis is possible by arrangement.
What distinguishes your turning workshop from other contact manufacturers?
Our turning workshop is specialised in large, heavy and complex workpieces. With a high degree of vertical integration, modern machinery and experienced personnel, we offer precision machining of the highest standard – ideal for customers looking for reliability and quality in contract manufacturing.
What are the advantages of outsourcing turning operations to a contract manufacturer?
Contract manufacturing saves you time, capacity and investment in machinery. At the same time, you benefit from specialised processes, precise CNC turning technology and high flexibility for custom and series parts.
